Jessica Pempek was raised on a beef cattle farm in St. Clairsville, OH, which her family still owns and operates today. Jessica received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences and her Master of Science degree specializing in Animal Welfare and Behavior from The Ohio State University. She is currently working on her Doctoral degree at The Ohio State University, and her primary research interests involve alternative housing and feeding systems for dairy heifer calves. She currently serves as the Project Manager for the Animal Welfare Community of Practice.
